What age range is this camp designed for?

The NextGen Coders Camp is tailored for young learners aged 10-13 years. We've designed our curriculum with this age range in mind, making it engaging, interactive, and age-appropriate.

How much does this program cost?

Nothing! It's free!

How many kids can participate?

This cohort is capped at 15 students.

How do I register my child?

Please click on the registration link on our homepage. Please be aware that it's first come, first serve, and that the program is capped at 15 learners!

Does my child need any prior coding experience?

No prior coding experience is necessary! Our camp is designed to introduce coding in a friendly, accessible way. We start from the basics and build up from there.

What is the student to teacher ratio?

Our goal is to provide a supportive learning environment, and to do that we maintain a low student to teacher ratio. Exact numbers may vary, but we aim for a ratio of 10:1 or lower.

What will my child need for the camp?

All students will need is their enthusiasm for learning! We'll provide the rest, including an engaging curriculum, supportive instructors, and a fun learning environment. If students want to work on their projects at home, or do some active learning on their own time, they'll need a computer and a stable internet connection.

What will my child be learning?

Our four-week camp introduces students to Scratch, HTML/CSS, and JavaScript. They will learn how to create their own interactive projects, understand the structure of websites, and delve into the basics of programming.

How is the day structured?

Each day includes interactive lessons, hands-on labs, and project-building time. This combination ensures students understand the concepts, can apply them practically, and create their own projects to show their progress.

Can parents attend the weekly project presentation?

Absolutely! Parents are welcome and encouraged to attend the weekly project presentations. We love it when students can show off their hard work to their families and friends.

Is the camp in-person, online, or both?

The NextGen Coders Camp is currently offered only in-person. But if accessibility is an issue, we may be able to make special accomodations on a case by case basis!

What safety measures are in place for in-person classes?

We are committed to the health and safety of all our students. We follow local health guidelines and regulations, including capacity limits, cleaning protocols, and mask requirements.

What happens if my child misses a day?

Attendance is very important, especially in a fast-paced program. However, we understand that conflicts may arise, and life happens. When a student misses a day, we'll provide resources to catch up, and our instructors are always ready to help get them up to speed.

Is there anything else I need to know?

Everything else you'd need to know will come out in our registration package! You'll receive this via email as soon as you've signed up your learner!
